The Twilite Tone x Kanye West x Grammys

Image
Big big BIG ups go out to our very own Anthony Khan aka The Twilite Tone for his two Grammy nominations for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for his production work on the 2 Chainz hit "Mercy" (yes, this is the same The Twilite Tone who makes you dance your ass off while trying, and failing, to Shazam or trainspot the dirty chicago house and jazz shit he's cranking at I Love Vinyl). Come by tomorrow and shake his hand!

Bubblings: The Twilite Tone

Image
Our man Master Khan (you have to do some creative pronouncing to make that one rhyme) aka The Twilite Tone is back in the spotlight with his Great Weekend project (see previous post ). This time, UK creme de la creme tastemaker Gilles Peterson has picked Great Weekend's "Let's Do It Again (Over and Over)" as the lead track for Volume Six of his Brownswood Bubblers compilation series. Check it out here . For more insight into Great Weekend, check out the artist profile on Gille's site . I Love Vinyl would also like to take this time to congratulate all the other talented artists featured on Bubblers Six, and especially our extended family, Taylor McFerrin , Quadron , MdCL and Kissey Asplund .

I Love Vinyl invades the hallowed halls of Lincoln Center tonight!

In addition to the usual I Love Vinyl superfun party type stuff, we will have the distinct honor of viewing the world premiere of "Return To Center", an original video by Danish artist Helene Nymann , with support from Danish VJ artist Kristian Kragelund and Danish painter Tobias Ginsborg , created especially for I Love Vinyl, while we dance. And if that wasn't enough, design duo Dilys+Asante have created AURICLE, a miracle of modern technology meets one-of-those-things-you-stick-your-face-through-and-take-a-picture. This extraterrestrial auto-illuminating logo-booth lands at the Atrium at Lincoln Center tomorrow night. Come prepared with your camera-phones fully charged...
