I Love Vinyl

We couldn't be happier for Taylor McFerrin regarding his forthcoming album Early Riser on Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder imprint (available on vinyl, we hope). And we swear that him mentioning I Love Vinyl as his favorite Brooklyn party in a recent New York Time's interview online has nothing to do with this post. Honest.

This Saturday kicks off a series of free daytime events featuring the I Love Vinyl Dream Team djs at Brooklyn Beats, a collaboration between Brooklyn Bodega, the hosts of the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival, and legendary hip-hop record shop and label Fat Beats, which consists of a bar and record store at the the new Dekalb Market.

We were very pleasantly surprised and honored to win the first ever Bodega Award for Best Event Series from Brooklyn Bodega, and the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival! Southpaw also won for Best Brooklyn Venue!
