And we don't stop!

As promised, the show must go on. And go on it will at Brooklyn's Littlefield, just steps away from Southpaw. For those of you whose pulse rates are already elevating at the mention of c.h.a.n.g.e., we provide this handy map, where "A" is Southpaw, and "B" is Littlefield, as if to say, "it's the same, just around the corner". Even the names sound similar... As much as we loved our little Southpaw basement, we hope Littlefield will be an improvement (read, same, but better), with more room to dance and enough bass to thump you into next week. For subway directions from wherever you are, just click on the map and change "A" to your point of departure, so to speak.

We're on fuse!

... meaning we're about to blow the fuck up, goddammit! Jon Oliver and Scribe of I Love Vinyl profiled on the first episode of Fuse.tv's new web series "Cratediggers"! Watch above. The image below was from fuse.tv's homepage. We shared the rotating marquee with Madonna, Slash from Guns'n'Roses, and John Mayer because we are large like that.

Tone & Stevie

I Love Vinyl resident dj and host The Twilite Tone had the honor of backing Stevie Wonder on the decks for a few minutes during a post-Grammy performance by Common. Under the circumstances, we will forgive him for not playing vinyl :)

Ex to the next

Motherless Brooklyn

Due to the unfortunate closing of our beloved brooklyn home, Southpaw, we will be floating around for the next few months before we settle down at one spot. Come check us out next month at Littlefield (just three little blocks from Southpaw), and the following month at Cameo in Williamsburg (both great venues), and let us know where you like best!

Jon Oliver interviews Robert Glasper

Jon Oliver to host experimental jazz pianist (and sometimes hip-hop/soul producer) Robert Glasper on his East Village Radio show on Monday 2/13 at midnight (so really 2/14).
